What is carbon avoidance?
Carbon avoidance projects focus on preventing the release of greenhouse gases that would otherwise occur from human activities. These projects avoid emissions by tackling the sources of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other gases before they are emitted into the atmosphere, helping to limit the overall amount of greenhouse gases contributing to global warming.
What is reforestation?
Reforestation is the process of returning areas of land that used to be forested back to their forested state. In many parts of the world, humans have damaged ecosystems by cutting down trees and other vegetation. When this happens, not only are the trees lost but also the ecosystem services they and the wider ecosystem provide.
The reforestation projects Ecologi supports help to reinvigorate ecosystems through planting native trees, but also through working with local communities to ensure the ongoing, sustainable use of the land. Through this approach, reforested land can bring a multitude of benefits to local people as well as local wildlife.

AVIDD+ FAQs

What happens if I don’t use all my hours?
Depending on your plan, a portion of unused hours can roll over for one month.
- Level 1: no rollover
- Level 2: 25% rollover
- Level 3: 50% rollover
- Level 4: 100% rollover
After that month, unused rollover hours expire.

What if I need more time than my plan includes?
If you exceed your hours, we’ll automatically borrow from the following month’s allocation (up to one full month). If you go beyond that, any additional time is billed at your standard hourly rate – but we’ll always check with you first before any extra charges apply.
You are also free to book in ad-hoc projects outside of the retainer at any time.

Is there a minimum term?
Yes.
Level 1 is a flexible monthly rolling contract.
Levels 2–4 require a 12-month commitment with a minimum 3-month term. After that, you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. -
How do I track my hours?
We provide access to a simple online dashboard so you can see how many hours you’ve used, what’s in progress, and how much time remains – all in real time.

Can I pause or change my plan?
If your needs change, talk to us – we’re flexible and happy to discuss adjustments or transitions to a different level.
